Can a Hungarian grant pay for my software?
In part, yes: the DIMOP Plusz 1.2.3/A programme finances digital projects of Hungarian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises between 3 and 20 million HUF, of which at most half is non-refundable and the rest is an interest-free loan. It is for businesses with a very low or low digital intensity today that want to introduce, for example, AI, data analytics or cloud solutions. Our partner AB Projektmanufaktúra Kft. prepares the application, and CompletApp, a Budapest-based product studio working in Hungarian and English, builds the software to a fixed scope and a fixed price.
Most businesses postpone digital projects because the whole cost lands at once. The Hungarian DIMOP Plusz digitalisation programme splits that load: part of the project is a non-refundable grant, the rest an interest-free loan.
The programme is also strict. It defines what can be built, what the finished system must do and what has to be proven at the end. That is why we work with a grant-writing partner: AB Projektmanufaktúra Kft. writes and submits the application, and we build the system so it passes the closing check.

Applications for both close on 30 June 2027 and are submitted only at MFB Pont Plusz branches. We checked these figures on 14 October 2026 against the call text in force since 5 December 2024, available on the MFB website. The budget can run out before the deadline, so ask the branch whether the programme is still open before applying.
What can it fund?
The call lists target areas, and only those qualify. Within them we help with:
- Artificial intelligence: processing text and voice data, reading documents automatically, customer service assistants and automating repetitive work. See AI integration.
- Data analytics and business intelligence: reports and analyses from your financial, sales or web data that decisions can rest on.
- Cloud data storage and integration: cloud databases, backup and restore, and connecting the systems you already use. See backend development and integration.
- Internal processes: workflow management, document management and other ERP areas, covered on internal business apps.
A standalone mobile app is not a target area. For websites, e-commerce, CRM, ERP and e-invoicing the call requires the qualified supplier list, which we always check in the pre-screening.
What the grant does not pay for
- Grant writing fees: explicitly excluded, so they come out of your own funds.
- Work started before submission: a project started before the application is excluded.
- Recoverable VAT: only cost the company cannot reclaim is eligible.
- Related-party purchases: buying from your owners, managers, their relatives or linked companies.
- Agriculture and food industry projects: excluded from the programme entirely.
How we work together
- Free pre-screening. AB Projektmanufaktúra Kft. checks whether your business is eligible and which strand fits.
- Digital intensity survey. You complete the free questionnaire at kkvdigital.dkf.hu in about 15 minutes; its result is a mandatory attachment.
- Development plan and fixed price. We define what we build so that the digital intensity target is met by the end.
- Submission. Our partner prepares the loan application, and you submit it at an MFB Pont Plusz branch.
- Build after submission. We work in reviewable stages; the project must finish within 18 months of the contract.
- Handover and closing check. We hand over the documentation and train your team, and you get every input the auditor needs.
