Who we are
CompletApp is a product studio operated by János Kiss, based in Hungary. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and how we use it. For any privacy question, contact info@completapp.com.
Information we collect
When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, project type, and message you provide.
If you submit a review through our testimonial form, we collect your name, your role or title, optionally your company, a star rating, your written review, and any video you choose to upload, along with your consent to publish it.
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
With your consent, we collect analytics about how the site is used (such as page views and interactions) through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity.
With your consent, we also use Google Ads and the Meta pixel to measure which ads bring real enquiries and to show relevant ads to people who have visited us. Both are described under Cookies and analytics below.
Why we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible project, to send you the newsletter if you have subscribed, and to understand and improve how the website performs.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you submit a form or subscribe) and our legitimate interest in responding to you and operating the site. Under the GDPR you can withdraw consent at any time.
Cookies and analytics
We ask for your consent through a banner before we load anything that is not strictly necessary. You choose per category, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer of every page.
Necessary. We store your language, your theme, and your cookie choice in your browser so the site works and remembers what you picked. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a technical cookie to protect the site from abuse. None of this is used to track you, so we do not ask for consent for it.
Analytics, only with your consent. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity show us which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ plus a property id. Clarity sets _clck and _clsk. Clarity also records anonymized session interactions and heatmaps, with input fields masked, so it never captures what you type into a form.
Marketing, only with your consent. Google Ads measures which ads lead to a real enquiry and lets us show relevant ads to people who visited us. It sets the first-party cookie _gcl_au, and Google may set cookies such as IDE and test_cookie on its own domains. The Meta pixel does the same for Facebook and Instagram ads. It sets _fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from a Meta ad.
We run Google Consent Mode v2. Before you accept, the Google tags are held in a denied state and set no analytics or advertising cookies. If you reject, we load nothing beyond what is necessary.
For the Meta pixel, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited act as joint controllers for the collection and transmission of your data, under the Meta Controller Addendum.
Withdrawing consent stops any further collection and deletes the cookies we can reach from your browser. Cookies set on Google or Meta domains can be removed through your browser settings, or through the ad settings of your Google and Meta accounts.
Email updates
If you ask for the App Launch Checklist and tick the consent box, we add your email address to a mailing list so we can send you the occasional note about what we are building. We store your email address, the date and time you consented, and the exact wording you agreed to, because the GDPR requires us to be able to demonstrate that consent was given.
The list is held by Resend, our email provider, and is used for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and most email apps also show their own unsubscribe button at the top of the message. Either one takes effect immediately. You can also email info@completapp.com and we will remove you by hand. Unsubscribing from updates does not affect replies to messages you send us directly.
Sharing and processors
Contact form, checklist, and review submissions are handled by our own code running on Cloudflare, and the resulting emails are sent through Resend (Resend, Inc.), our email provider. When you submit a review, the details you enter are also emailed to us so we can moderate it. Resend dispatches mail from the European Union (Ireland), but stores account data, message metadata, and delivery logs in the United States under a data processing agreement with Standard Contractual Clauses.
Spam protection on both forms uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which we verify server-side. Testimonial submissions are received and stored by Supabase, our backend provider, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). This website is hosted on Cloudflare, and Cloudflare processes technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver and secure the site.
Analytics, if you consent, are processed by Google (Google Analytics 4) and Microsoft (Clarity). If you consent to marketing, Google Ireland Limited (Google Ads) and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (the Meta pixel) also receive data about your visit. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it beyond the tools needed to provide these services.
International transfers
Some of these processors (such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Cloudflare) are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data retention
We keep contact enquiries for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless we are working together, in which case we keep them for the duration of the project and for as long as the law requires afterwards. If you opt in to occasional updates, we keep your email until you unsubscribe, which you can do in one click from any email we send. Testimonial submissions that we do not publish are deleted within 30 days. Published reviews stay on the site until you ask us to remove them. You can ask us to delete your data, including a published review and its video, at any time by emailing info@completapp.com.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@completapp.com to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority (NAIH).
Children
Our services and this website are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
