A mobile app website that gets found in search, explains the product in two languages, and hands every visitor to the right store in one tap.

Project Overview
frendexapp.com is the bilingual mobile app website for Frendex, the local services booking app we also built (see the Frendex app case study). It replaced an old WordPress landing page and has three jobs: get found when people search for a pro, in English and Hungarian; explain the product to customers and to providers; and move every visitor to the right app store in one tap.
Beyond the app landing page, it carries a hub for every category and profession in the app’s catalog, city pages such as Plumber in Budapest, a self-publishing blog and a download page.
Key Features
Device-aware downloads: iPhone to the App Store, Android to Google Play, desktop to a QR code.
Programmatic SEO pages: more than 100 profession and city pages per language, built from the app’s own catalog.
Answer-ready pages: profession FAQs and structured data that search engines and AI assistants can quote.
App links that resolve here: notifications, invites and shared profiles open the app when installed, or fall back to the right store.
One product feel: the app’s own colour tokens and an animated, illustrated hero map (the names and ratings on it are examples).
Privacy by default: analytics load only after consent; until then, only a cookie-free visit counter runs.
How the Site Works
A search for a pro lands on a generated profession or city page, in the searcher’s language.
The page answers the question: what the pro does, how booking works, and the common questions.
On a phone, one tap opens the right store; on a desktop, a QR code does the same.
After install, links from the app keep opening the right screen.
In the background, the blog publishes itself and each deploy submits changed pages to search engines.
Tech Stack & Integrations
Astro: fully static pages with no front-end framework shipped.
Tailwind CSS and TypeScript: tokens shared with the app, type-checked templates and catalog data.
Cloudflare Pages with edge functions: hosting, forms, app links and language routing.
Resend and Cloudflare Turnstile: form email with spam protection.
RankSpiral, our SEO content platform: publishes the blog in both languages.
Lighthouse CI: a deploy fails below 95 performance or below 100 on any other category.
Challenges & Solutions
Programmatic pages without doorway pages. Search engines penalise thin city pages with no providers behind them. We generate profession and city pages only where the app has real supply (Budapest and Debrecen today), from the app’s catalog, checked at build time.
App links that open the app only where they should. Blog links shared in chat apps once opened the app instead of the article, so we scoped app links to the app’s own pages. The old WordPress host also served the app’s links, so we rebuilt and verified every one before the domain moved on 29 August 2026.
An auto-publishing blog that cannot break the build. Publishing runs the same checks as the build and refuses any failing article, so a bad article can never freeze deploys.
Development Time
The first commit landed on 3 July 2026 with the complete bilingual homepage, and a 282-page production build followed on 6 July. The site went live on 29 August, the blog began publishing itself on 2 September, and multi-city pages arrived on 4 September: 170 commits by our team on 22 working days, plus about 200 automated publishing and indexing commits since.
Impact or Outcome
The site is live in two languages with more than 600 URLs, including more than 75 auto-published articles. Google PageSpeed Insights on 18 October 2026: performance 97 on mobile and 100 on desktop, with 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO on both. Mobile lab metrics: Largest Contentful Paint 2.4 s, Cumulative Layout Shift 0, Total Blocking Time 0 ms.
There is not yet enough real-user traffic for Chrome’s field report, and no traffic, ranking or install numbers to publish. We will add them after a season of data.
My Role & Value
We built the mobile app website end to end: information architecture, design from the app’s tokens, copy in two languages, the build, SEO, the app link layer and the deploy pipeline. We also built the Frendex app, so one team owns both sides of every link between them.
See It Live
Visit frendexapp.com, switch between English and Hungarian, then try the download flow on a phone and on a desktop.

Frequently asked questions
