Project Overview
Tudatosság Klub (Awareness Club) is a sound therapy and meditation app for Hungarian speakers. Members put on headphones, pick a meditation or a guided program, and give themselves fifteen to twenty minutes a day. The library holds more than 700 meditations in 15 sound therapies, from general anxiety to sleep and deep relaxation, plus 28 programs of 14 to 30 days.
We built the first version in FlutterFlow in 2025. In 2026 the product outgrew it: the client needed reliable audio, offline listening, a membership sold outside the app stores and code it fully owns. So we rebuilt it as a hand-written Flutter app on Supabase, for iPhone, iPad, Android and the browser, with a light and a dark theme on every screen. The screenshots come from a seeded demo account, so the names and statistics in them are illustrative.
Key Features
Sound therapy library: themed collections, each opening a list of meditations, with the first meditation of every collection free.
Guided programs: one meditation a day, and the next day opens 24 hours after the previous one is finished.
Sound therapy picker: a few questions about the member’s situation, then matching meditations.
Audio player: waveform, skip controls, background playback and control from the lock screen.
Offline listening: downloaded meditations play without a connection, even after a restart.
Daily mood check-in on a five face scale, feeding statistics on streaks, weekly goals, a heatmap and badges.
Favourites in an order the member sets, daily reminders and a notification wall.
Program reviews that appear only after an admin approves them.
The Web App
The same Flutter codebase also runs in the browser, as a Flutter web app at app.tudatossagklub.hu. On a wide screen the bottom bar turns into a sidebar and the grids open up to three and four columns, so it reads as a desktop product, not a stretched phone.

The web app also has a job the phone apps cannot do: it is where the membership is sold. Stripe Checkout opens in the same tab and returns the member to the app, and Billingo issues the Hungarian invoice on its own. Phone and tablet visitors who land on the web address are pointed to the app stores instead.
Light and Dark Themes
Every screen ships in two themes, a soft lavender light theme and a deep navy dark theme. The app follows the device setting by default, and members can pick light or dark in their account settings.

Both themes come from one set of design tokens, so a new screen gets both for free. Automated layout checks run on every supported screen size in both themes, which is how a dark mode stays finished instead of drifting behind the light one. That token discipline is the unglamorous core of UI/UX design on a product this wide.
Tech Stack & Integrations
Flutter and Dart: one codebase for iOS, Android and the web, with Riverpod for state and go_router for navigation.

Challenges & Solutions
From a FlutterFlow export to code the client owns. The starting point was 227 Dart files tied to the FlutterFlow theme by 2 605 references. Rewriting from scratch would have frozen the product for months, so we migrated in place, screen by screen, behind tests: first a fork of the export, then the move from Firebase to Supabase, then the last FlutterFlow dependency removed. The app kept working the whole way. It is the kind of work our cross-platform app development is built for.
A membership sold outside the stores, without breaking store rules. Selling on the web avoids the app store commission, but the phone apps must not steer anyone to an outside purchase. So the purchase lives only in the web app, Android shows no checkout, and the iOS app works as a reader app. The server, not the interface, decides who may play paid audio, so a locked meditation stays locked on every platform.
Audio that keeps playing. Meditations have to survive a locked screen, a switch to another app and a train tunnel. Background playback, lock screen controls and offline downloads are built in, and listening done offline is counted in the statistics once the phone is back online.
Development Time
We built the FlutterFlow MVP in about three months in 2025. In summer 2026 we started the rebuild into hand-written Flutter, and about three months later the app was store-ready: more than 380 commits, with more than 1 500 automated tests run on every change.
Impact or Outcome
The web app is live at app.tudatossagklub.hu. The iOS and Android apps are in internal testing on TestFlight and Google Play, ready to go to store review. The app has no public user numbers yet, so we print none. What it has is a codebase the client owns, two themes that stay in step, and a payment flow that runs from checkout to invoice without anyone touching it.

We are a one person studio, and we owned Tudatosság Klub end to end: the UX and UI design, the FlutterFlow MVP, the migration to Flutter and Supabase, the web app, the Stripe and Billingo flow, and the store releases.
