Project Overview

Tudatosság Klub (Awareness Club) is a sound therapy meditation app we built for the Hungarian market. Hungarian speakers have very few native-language mindfulness products, so the club behind it wanted its own: an audio-first space where members ease stress, anxiety, and burnout through guided sound therapy in their own language.

It is a membership product in the full sense. Members subscribe through Stripe on the web, entirely outside the Apple and Google billing systems, then sign in on iOS, Android, or the web and unlock guided programs, a sound therapy library, and premium content the club keeps expanding.

We designed the experience around one gentle daily habit: a mood check-in when the app opens, one session a day inside a program, and statistics that show how mood shifts before and after meditation.

Key Features

• Guided programs: multi-week journeys, such as a 21 day program, where each session unlocks after the previous one.
• Sound therapy library: themed audio collections with favorites and downloadable MP3 tracks.
• Purpose-built audio player: artwork, waveform playback, and a listening guide that explains each track’s goal and expected benefits.
• Daily mood check-in: a one-tap scale that feeds the before and after statistics.
• Progress statistics: streaks, minutes meditated, completed programs, and mood trends over time.
• Knowledge section: in-app articles about anxiety and how sound therapy helps.
• Self-serve membership: billing data, saved card, invoices, and cancellation handled inside the app.
• Push reminders: opt-in notifications that keep the daily practice alive.

• FlutterFlow: one codebase for iOS, Android, and the web.
• Firebase: authentication, content, and the Cloud Functions that automate the backend.
• Stripe: web-based subscription billing, independent from the app stores.
• Billingo: automatic Hungarian invoicing for every payment.
• OneSignal: push notifications and daily reminders.
• Rowy: a spreadsheet-style CMS, so the club’s team publishes audio and articles without touching code.
• Intercom: in-app support chat for members.

Challenges & Solutions

A sound therapy meditation app lives or dies on playback. FlutterFlow does not cover fine-grained audio control natively, so we extended it with Flutter packages and wrapped them in a calm, custom player UI. The result is smooth waveform playback that feels made for meditation rather than bolted on.

The second challenge was selling the membership outside the stores. A web-based Stripe subscription has to stay perfectly in sync with what each member can access in the app, and every payment needs a compliant Hungarian invoice. Backend workflows built on Firebase Cloud Functions keep subscription status, Billingo invoicing, and OneSignal messaging in step with member access, so content unlocks and locks on its own. It is the kind of problem where web app development discipline and mobile craft have to meet.

Development Time

Three months from concept to a fully functional MVP: UX/UI design, development, integrations, and backend automation included.

Impact or Outcome

The MVP is complete and ready to deploy, but the app is not live yet: the client decided to postpone the launch to fit more features and modules into the first public version. Initial testing and stakeholder feedback were positive, and the roadmap for the next phase is in place. We would rather say that plainly than dress it up, because the build is done and the go-live is the client’s call.

My Role & Value

We owned the project end to end: UX/UI design, cross-platform app development in FlutterFlow, backend integration, and the automation that makes a store-independent membership run itself. The value was a complex subscription product delivered in three months by one accountable team, with billing, invoicing, and content management the club can operate on its own.
