Project Overview

Mainstream dating apps treat every member the same. We are building a luxury dating app for a more selective crowd: a premium dating platform that combines the swiping people already know with a private social feed and the curated feel of an exclusive matchmaking service. Verified profiles and tiered access keep the community intentional, and the gold-on-black design language keeps the whole experience feeling premium.

The concept in one line: swipe-based discovery, Instagram-style posting, and a tiered membership model in a single app. Members do not just match, they follow each other, post moments, comment, and send gifts, so a connection has somewhere to grow between the first swipe and the first date.

• Tiered membership: Free, Gold, and Diamond roles, each with its own access level and perks.
• Swipe-to-match: a fluid card stack for fast, familiar matchmaking.
• Location-based discovery: browse people nearby, or switch city to connect internationally.
• Social feed: posts, comments, follows, and trending or nearby filters, like a private Instagram.
• Digital gifting: premium virtual gifts that let members express interest with style.
• Post promotions: paid visibility boosts that lift selected posts inside the feed.
• Verified profiles: a guided onboarding flow with checks that keep bots and fakes out.
• Moderation tooling: flagging, filters, and role-based moderation to keep engagement safe.

Tech Stack & Integrations

• FlutterFlow: one codebase for the entire iOS and Android app.
• Firebase: authentication, data, storage, and backend logic for every feature.
• RevenueCat: the subscription engine behind the Gold and Diamond tiers.
• AdMob: the ad layer that monetizes the free tier.
• Algolia: fast, filtered search across members and posts.

Challenges & Solutions

Three membership tiers touch every screen, so role management had to be structural rather than bolted on. We built flexible access rules on top of Firebase so each tier unlocks its own features cleanly, which means new premium perks can ship without rework.

Radius-based people discovery gets expensive fast on a document database. Geohash-based location indexing keeps nearby search efficient, and a manual location override lets members browse other cities, an exclusive dating app habit for people who travel.

Exclusivity itself was the third challenge. A multi-step verified onboarding, photo review logic, and moderation tooling for posts and comments protect the quality of the community, because in this category trust is the product.

Development Time

This is a self-initiated product, built iteratively over more than four months in limited free time. The core experience is in place: onboarding and verification, swiping, the social feed, chat, gifting, and the tiered monetization. Expanded moderation and launch preparation are the next milestones.

Impact or Outcome

Honest status: this is a pre-launch personal project, so there are no users, downloads, or revenue figures to report yet. What exists today is a working product with its core flows validated in internal testing, and a clear runway of moderation, marketing prep, and final testing before a public release.

My Role & Value

This one is our own passion project, self-initiated and built end to end: concept, wireframes, UI/UX design, backend logic, monetization setup, and every screen in between. It is also a live demonstration of how we approach a complex social product: a luxury dating app needs scalable roles, efficient geo search, and safety tooling from day one, not as afterthoughts.
